Oxfordshire Cancer Information
The Oxfordshire Cancer Information website was developed by a team of healthcare professionals, patients and carers, to meet the information requirements of cancer patients, their relatives and carers. It also provides a useful resource for healthcare professionals, ensuring rapid access to high quality, reliable local and national cancer information online.
In 2009 the content of the site was offered to other NHS Trusts within the Thames Valley Cancer Network to create "sister sites" under the name of Cancerlinks. The core content of the site is shared across the Network and reviewed on a regular basis by representatives from the hospital trusts involved. Local information is managed by the relevant trust.
In Oxford the website is managed by the following people:
Dr. Chris Alcock: Consultant Oncologist
Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals
Robyn Woodhill RGN : Cancer Information Project Manager,
Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals
Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Cancer Information Group
This
is a group of over 40 healthcare professionals based in the Oxford area
with an interest in patient information who represent each tumour type
and treatment area.
