Royal Society of Medicine conference Medicine and Me: Ovarian cancer,
Royal Society of Medicine in London 26th February 12:30 pm
Medicine and Me' conferences, initiated and developed by the Royal Society of Medicine, are specifically designed for patients. These meetings bring together patients, their families, carers, advocates, patient support groups, clinicians and researchers to discuss care and research issues in a particular condition.
Medicine and Me: Ovarian cancer is jointly organised by the Royal Society of Medicine and Ovarian Cancer Action.
'Medicine and Me' meetings aim to provide a forum in which patients' concerns about their illness are given top priority. The meetings provide an opportunity for patients and their families to share their experiences, to hear about the latest research and to question the experts.
The audience at this meeting will comprise those with ovarian cancer, their families, carers and advocates, representing about 70% of those present; and clinicians and researchers, representing not more than 30%. Clinicians will include doctors, specialist nurses and others involved in the treatment and care of those with ovarian cancer.
Please note that this meeting is free of charge for patients/carers, however in order to book a place a refundable deposit of £25 is required
Please see the conference leaflet for programme and registration details, telephone 020 7290 3919 or visit the Royal Society of Medicine website
